We have been very touched by the tremendous outpouring of support and kindness that we continue to receive.
We would greatly appreciate that members of the press or anyone else who writes about our family please refrain from using images of our daughter Nessie. There is nothing more important to us than protecting her privacy and affording her the opportunity to grow up privately.
Thank you.
We want to thank you for your extraordinary outpouring of love and kindness. Lulu and Leo were 2 of our 3 best friends, and we miss them so much. Our daughter Nessie is very strong, and with your support we will be strong for her.
Today we gathered family and friends to celebrate the beautiful lives of Lulu and Leo. It is important to us that they are remembered as the sweet, creative, and fun-loving children that they were.
We are honoring our children by creating the Lulu & Leo Fund. The Fund will support participatory art and science education for young children in schools, museums, and other community institutions. Lulu’s art classes provided some of her most joyful and enriching moments. We’d like to help other children obtain access to similarly great experiences.
More information can be found at lululeofund.org.
As we go forward, we are focused on our 3-year-old daughter, Nessie. It is of the utmost importance to us that she is afforded the opportunity to grow up privately, like any other kid. We ask for your support in ensuring that we achieve this goal for our daughter.
Again, we thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers.
